Originally published in two volumes in 1925 and 1927, this is one of literally millions of copies printed in Germany after Hitler's rise to power. The first part, titled "Die Abrechnung", which loosely translates as "revenge," was dictated while Hitler was in jail for his role in the failed coup attempt known as the Beer Hall Putsch. In this section, Hitler expounds on his theory of the Aryan race and against the Jews.
In the second part, he describes the National Socialist agenda and the techniques required to gain power. The book was issued is a number of formats in Germany. This is an example of the Volksausgabe, or people's edition, which is bound in blue cloth with a swastica embossed in gold on the front cover. The dust jacket shows a young Hitler staring intently.
The book is in very good condition, with the gold stamping on the spine dulled and flaking from the front board. The dust jacket is much nicer than is usually seen, with some creasing to the edges and a bit of loss at the spine ends. There is also a small chip missing from the top edge of the back cover. Overall, a very good copy of an book that is hard to find in nice condition.
