[Victor Keppler] Office of War Information.
Wanted! For Murder: Her Careless Talk Costs Lives
(N.-pl.): U.S. Government Printing Office, 1944.
A 20-by-28-inch poster designed by Victor Keppler (1904-1987) to remind civilians that discussing military information could (in theory at least) lead to catastrophic consequences.
SOLD
A vaguely sexist bit of propaganda, which suggests that idle gossip could cost the lives of American soldiers.
Printed on the back of the poster is "a word about this new government poster," which helpfully explains the design:
Kepler had a long career as a commercial photographer and his papers are now held by Syracuse University. Folded for mailing, as issued, otherwise fine.
